NO FCRA USE. Elko County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency. This website and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions, or for another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
1. What This Website Is
This private reference website is independent of Elko County, Nevada, and every public agency. It does not store official files, perform official checks, retrieve records, or submit documents for a user.
Its content identifies custodians such as Sheriff Records, Elko County courts, the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History, and the Nevada Sex Offender Registry. Nevada Public Records Act requests are governed by NRS Chapter 239, while NRS Chapter 179A controls defined criminal-history information and dissemination.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use is conditioned on an agreement not to:
- Use the website in violation of federal, Nevada, or local law
- Threaten, stalk, or harass anyone with information found here
- Use site content for a credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
- Attempt unauthorized access to any account, server, or system
- Deploy scraping, bot, or other automated access tools
- Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor's access
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
No site or linked-tool information may be used to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against a person. Nevada places specific limits on Nevada Sex Offender Registry data. NRS 179B.270 through 179B.290 address prohibited uses and civil or criminal consequences. The registry serves lawful public-safety awareness, never vigilantism.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, consumer reports, or screening products. Information from this site or a linked tool may not be used to:
- Evaluate a person for employment
- Assess a housing or rental application
- Determine credit or insurance eligibility or terms
- Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose
A lawful regulated check must be obtained through an authorized and FCRA-compliant source, not through this website.
5. No Legal Advice
General explanations about Elko County records are not legal advice and cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or record-sealing rule applies to one matter. Consult a Nevada-licensed attorney for legal guidance.
6. No Warranties
All content and services are supplied "as is." There is no guarantee that:
- Site or partner information will always be accurate, current, or complete
- Access will be continuous and uninterrupted
- The pages will contain no defect, error, or security weakness
- An outside search provider will return complete or correct results
Charges, dispositions, and sealing status can change. Site content is not an official statement by a court, the Sheriff, the Central Repository, or another agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may open a government office, court portal, legal resource, or outside service that we do not control. We accept no responsibility for a destination's content, availability, prices, or data practices. Its own terms govern use.
8. Intellectual Property
Elko County Criminal History or its content partners owns the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, adapting, distributing, or building upon that material requires prior written permission.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the website or reliance on information obtained here or through a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your website use or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice.
14. Severability
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms remain effective. The affected provision will be adjusted only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
